Futurists, Film, Photography & More: 5 HOW Design Live Speakers You Can’t Miss

Developing the program for HOW Design Live is an ongoing process that starts immediately after each event wraps and continues through the months-long planning period. Even then, the work isn’t done.

In collaboration with program partners Andrew Gibbs, Debbie Millman, Ed Roberts, Andy Brenits and Ilise Benun, the HOW event team continues to add impressive keynote speakers and essential breakout sessions to the 2016 agenda.
HDL New SpeakersAmong the sessions added since registration opened in November:

Marc Ecko — Entrepreneur, artist and fashion designer, Marc will share insights from his much-lauded book, “Unlabel: Selling You Without Selling Out.” He’ll encourage you to channel your creativity, find the courage to defy convention and summon the confidence to act and compete in any environment.

Tiffany Shlain — The Emmy-nominated filmmaker and Webby Awards Founder will share her work and inspire you to think more creatively.

Jonathan Fields — This bestselling author of “Uncertainty: Turning Fear and Doubt Into Fuel For Brilliance” will challenge you to build an extraordinary life in the same way you’d approach a creative project, by envisioning the constraints and limitations, the metrics for success, the big levers, resources and tools of the trade. What about the guiding ethic and core principles? Who would you trust to guide you?

Jim Krause — A longtime favorite, Jim will present a two-part workshop, “Just Shoot It: Photos and Videos for Personal and Professional Creative Projects.” Get ready to learn a ton, have fun and start building your own photo library — bring a DSLR or just your cellphone camera.

Amy Webb — The futurist, author and digital strategist will give you a sneak peek into the future of design in what promises to be a truly mind-bending keynote presentation.

That’s just a short list; there are many new speakers, keynotes and breakout sessions fresh to the program since November, and more details are being confirmed continually.
