Tis the season for giving … have you considered giving something to yourself? Like, the creative recharge you’re craving?
HOW Design Live has a killer lineup of sessions focused on reviving creative energy, sparking new ideas and inspiring your best work. It’s like a day spa for the mind: Rejuvenating, refreshing, leaving you with that irrepressible glow. Here’s a look at a few highlights from the conference’s lineup of Design & Creativity sessions:
On Day 1 of HOW Design Live, brush up on your sketching with Mike Rohde, author of “The Sketchnote Handbook.” In this extended Master Class, Sketchnoting, you’ll build confidence in your drawing skills, learn fast lettering techniques and find out how you can “sketchnote” big ideas in the other HOW Design Live sessions you attend.
Day 3 of the conference features two great sessions on creativity: Terri Trespicio’s presentation Out of Juice: How to Replenish Your Creativity Well will teach you to tap into your creative well (a renewable resource, by the way, providing you renew it!) at will. Don’t lose your creative mojo!
Then, popular longtime speaker Sam Harrison will bust you out of your “walking dead” zone of creative slumps. In Slay Your Zombies, Slash Your Zigzags, Show Your Zing!, he’ll teach you self-starter tips to get you out of those occasional funks.
Don’t miss Stefan Mumaw’s session How To Cheat: Creative Domination Through Villainy will encourage you to subvert what’s been done before, break the right rules and create breakthrough work. And, of course, you’ll want to begin your full HOW Design Live experience with Stefan’s HOW Connection session.
Throughout the event’s five days, you’ll discover brilliant new ideas and insights from a range of keynote speakers including multi-platform artist Kelli Anderson, design legend Seymour Chwast, Pentagram partner Natasha Jen, designer/illustrator Timothy Goodman and more.
