If you love city posters, AIGA SF is hosting an event that is likely to peak your interest. InsideOut SF is part poster exhibit, part silent auction and part fall gala. It begins with a curated exhibition of San Francisco Bay Area posters designed by big-name local creatives and graphic designers across the globe. These posters will then be sold at the silent auction/fall gala at Terra Gallery on November 12 at 6:30 p.m.
The name of the event comes from AIGA SF’s idea to have city insiders design posters of San Fran based on how it looks and feels to them personally. Outside-the-area professionals have been asked to do the same. The big question is: Will insiders and outsiders have a similar perspective? In November, attendees will find out the answer at the InsideOut SF event, which will culminate in a celebration of city and graphic design.
The sales benefit the San Francisco chapter of AIGA, so if any posters catch your eye, you can feel better about your purchase knowing the funds will go to a good cause. Tickets range from $35 to $15, and appetizers and h’ordeurves are included. If you like to enjoy these types of events with a cocktail in hand, there is a cash bar as well. For more information on who will be submitting a poster design and what to expect, visit the InsideOut SF event page.
