HOW Design Live 2017 touches down in Chicago May 2-6. Register now to get the best rates!
Now’s the time to make sure there are funds in the budget for multiple team members to register.
In fact, attendees who come back every year find that their creativity and productivity soar in the months following the conference. They return to their design practice—whether it’s in-house, agency or solopreneur—with new skills and information that propel their careers and businesses forward.
Our talented Program Partners have been busy reaching out to their networks of top creatives and also booking the most innovative thought leaders who will bring their unique perspective from outside the industry.
“The 2017 HOW Design Live is going to be the best ever. We have the best speakers in the best HOW Design Live city! This is going to be epic!” says Debbie Millman, Founder and Host of the Design Matters Podcast, Co-founder Graduate Program in Branding at SVA, and Editorial and Creative Director of Print Magazine.

“I’m really excited we’ll be back in Chicago,” adds Andrew Gibbs, CEO and Editor-In-Chief of The Dieline. “Chicago is where The Dieline Conference started back in 2011. It’s one of my favorite cities and I’m most excited about our incredible line-up of speakers and keynotes! We have a fantastic program this year that we can’t wait to reveal. You won’t want to miss this year.”
Ilise Benun, founder of Marketing-Mentor.com, says, “There is nothing better than being part of a vibrant creative community and I’m honored to be part of the HOW community. I started off way back when as a contributing writer to HOW Magazine and, over the past 25 years, have expanded my role and responsibilities to become more involved in programming the big event!”
According to Benun, it’s essential to keep learning because things are constantly changing in the world and in the industry. “I love learning about what designers need to know to thrive in their jobs, whether self-employed or within an organization,” adds Benun. “If only for that reason alone, it is essential to come together to learn and discover, recharge and be inspired. That’s my experience and hopefully the experience of the attendees as well.”
Our newest addition, Zachary Petit has contributed much to the HOW Design Live programming process as Content Director of the HOW+PRINT brands. Now he has assumed a more visible role as an active Program Partner for the 2017 conference.
“When we met at SVA in New York to plan HOW Design Live 2017, I was blown away by the sheer brain power in the room,” says Petit. “And I’m excited to say that the event is going to reflect that collective awesomeness.”
2016 HOW Design Live Program Partners Ed Roberts and Andy Brenits have returned in a consulting capacity as Program Advisors and regular blog contributors.
