Networking for singles in NYC

There are few things I enjoy more than using time efficiently.

That’s why I’ll be at the Freelancers Union first-ever singles event, coming up on August 18th.  What a productive use of one’s evening — to be networking and cruising the singles scene at the same time! There are so many possibilities. If you don’t find a new business contact, at least you might get a date (or if you’re very lucky, both!).

Here are the details about the Freelancers Union Singles Networking Party:

Look out, Lavalife! Move over, Match.com. We are boldly going where no dating service–or Freelancers Union event–has gone before. We are throwing a singles networking party. Conversation should be easy since everyone will have two things in common: being a freelancer and single. Plus, you’ll have a Dyana Valentine nametag that says, “I’m really good at _____.” (See examples and get drafting!)

When: Wednesday, August 18, 6:30 – 8:30 pm
Where: M1-5, 52 Walker Street, Manhattan
Price: $10 entrance fee.* The first $500 worth of drinks is on us! Cash bar thereafter.

*All proceeds from the event will go to Freelancers Union Political Action Committee (PAC) to help us promote freelancer issues. Contributions are not tax-deductible, and event registration will be via our online PAC contribution form.
