About the Speakers

She is the founder of Marketing Mentor, through which she works closely with designers, teaching them how to best develop their business through creativity, sell their services and talents, and implement efficient systems and procedures to run the business smoothly. Dani Nordin is the founder of the Watertown, MA-based, zen kitchen, an award-winning communication strategy and design collective that specializes in strategy, eco-friendly design and websites for green business, gourmet food, professional services and philanthropy.

Patrice Robertie, of Acorn Advertising in Arlington MA, wanted to be in advertising since she was 6 years old, and knew she wanted to be a writer from the day her 3rd grade teacher, Mrs. Stanton, said her paper on “Dumbo, The Elephant” was “very good.” She worked as a writer and project manager at a boutique advertising agency in Boston for 11 years, then started Acorn Advertising in 1992. She specializes in helping companies without their own full-time marketing departments get the word out about what they do.

Amy Weiher founded Northern California-based Weiher Creative in 2005 and has over 10 years experience in graphic design. She has created award-winning print, identity and web projects for a wide range of clients in the arts, education and nonprofit sectors, including the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley, Boalt Law School at UC Berkeley, CASBS at Stanford University and UC Hastings Law.
