I am counting down…and one month from today (June 24) is Day 2 of the Creative Freelancer Conference in Chicago. Here’s what we’ll be doing…
After a good night’s sleep, a bunch of us will get up bright and early to meet at 6 AM for “net-walking” — networking during a morning walk. (Here we are last year in Denver.)
This, to me, is the highlight of the entire conference! The air will be clear, the sun will be up and everyone will have on their “Freelance Creative Monster” T-shirts, designed by CFC alum, illustrator Tim Read. (Get yours here so you can wear it on June 24).
After a quick shower, we’ll meet up again for Breakfast Roundtables at 8 AM. This year’s roundtables will include our speakers leading discussions related to their topics as well as special guests, including:
- Terri Lonier, author and founder of Working Solo, who will be leading a discussion on “Battling Boredom and Burnout”
- Laurel Black, who is now famous for her blog post last month, “Too Old to Be a Designer?” will be leading a discussion on the topic.
And that’s all before the day’s official sessions actually begin. More later….but in the meantime, if you’re on the fence but haven’t signed up yet for CFC, you can do so here.
