About the face: Abraham Lincoln, the typeface, was inspired by—you guessed it—Abraham Lincoln, the 16th President of the United States. Or at least his impressive height (6’4″) and the time in which he lived. Designer Frances MacLeod created the face in 2011 as an answer to her “constant hunt for a condensed serif,” using advertisements and playbills from the 1800s as examples. Pay what you want for a personal use download. A commercial license for 1-5 users is only $35. Support the artist
