About the face: Happy bike to work day! The entire month of May is actually National Bike Month, sponsored by the League of American Bicyclists and established in 1956. At least in the U.S. and Canada. According to their website, 40% of all trips in the U.S. are less than two miles, making bicycling a “feasible and fun way” to get around. Not only is bicycling good for the environment, but it’s also great for your personal health.
To celebrate, we’re showcasing Lovelo Inline, a free font originally developed by art director of braenda Hans Renzler for the bike manufacturer Velo Arch. Fontfabric turned it into a full font family, available for free for personal and commercial projects.
This geometric sans serif is unique in that it’s always open—the typeface has no closed endings. It’s available from Fontfabric in three different weights: black, line light and line bold. Enjoy!
