Location: Helsinki, Finland
About the face: On March 30th, Crayola announced that they would be retiring one of the colors in their 24 pack of crayons. By the time evening came around, the word had gotten out via Twitter that we would be saying goodbye to Dandelion, a crayon that’s been around since 1990.

It seemed only appropriate to celebrate the life of Dandelion with a free font that encompasses the feeling of crayons and childhood while remaining elegant and wonderfully legible. Enter Sketchetik by Ossi Gustafsson. Sketchetik combines the utility of Helvetica with the handmade charm of a brush font. Of the five different weights, you can download Light for free. The remaining weights are only $19 each and are well worth the investment. For licensing information, check out the MyFonts page here.
Gustafsson recommends using Sketchetik as a display typeface. Enjoy!
