An Award-Winning Olympics Side Project [VIDEO]

Last May, designer and illustrator Wendy Fox joined us at HOW Design Live to accept her award for winning Best of Show in the International Design Awards with her personal project inspired by the London Olympics.

She took some time out of her full schedule at HOW Live for an interview.

In the video below, she tells us more about the award-winning personal project that celebrates the physical diversity of elite female athletes and explores how we can provide more coverage for women in sports. She also talks about the challenges creatives face when taking on side projects, and what she learned from her two-year commitment to this project.

And as we mentioned a couple of weeks ago, Fox is taking this concept to a whole new level with the 2016 Rio Olympics. She’ll be illustrating the women who will win gold medals in real time, and you can still get in on the Kickstarter to help make this happen. Check it out here.
