This very simple portfolio of Canadian illustrator Sam Island features his work for clients including The New York Times, Businessweek, Bloomberg View and AARP. While the site and his style are quite simple, the conceptual thinking behind each image is robust.

Signorina Navarra Design
This is the portfolio of a hand-letter, designer and illustrator based in New York City. Her retro and modern pieces always have a flair for color and amazing hand drawn type.

Halfpastwelve is the online portfolio of Laura Cattaneo, an award-winning illustrator/information designer based in Milan. Her infographic work is particularly impressive.

FoundryCo
Foundry is a small branding and digital agency based in Dallas. It’s helmed by three talented young designers, whose refined process has lead to a collection of beautiful, elegant projects.

Bomboland
This illustration studio, based in Lucca, Italy, specializes in amazing cut paper work for clients like Wired, AARP and Nokia. If the smiling lungs and intestines they created for Oprah’s magazine don’t charm your sock off, you have no soul!

Devicq Design
Roberto de Vicq de Cumptich is principal of his own design firm in New York City specializing in publications, restaurant design and branding. His mastery of typographic design is astonishing. Prepare to be inspired!
Petra Börner
Petra Börner, a Swedish artist and Illustrator based in London, elevates cut paper illustration to the level of fine art.

Ruby is a young UK-based illustrator with a penchant for colorful, modern patterns and hand drawn type.

Jesse Ragan
Jesse Ragan is a hard-core type designer who cut his teeth working at Hoefler & Frere-Jones where he contributed to the design of Gotham, Archer and more. Now, he’s got his own studio in Brooklyn where he specializes in created custom typefaces and lettering treatments.

Cory Say
