On Monday, 6/10/13 at 10am eastern, German artist Alexander Otto will become the June Fotolia artist, sharing his PSD, “Their Journey,” for just 24 hours. The PSD will be available in A3 format, 75 DPI. After the 24 hours, it can be purchased in A3 format, 300 DPI for $12 “with commercial user rights on the condition that the rights for the use of any Fotolia images used in the file are also purchased.” The best part is that Otto will give away his secrets to this incredible design. From the Fotolia Blog:
In his piece, “Their Journey”, Alexander Otto depicts two lovers in a dark whirlwind of love, flavored with movement and mysticism. In this story about a young couple, Otto captures the individual moments of their lives, and traces how they came together.
“My idea was to show the little stories that were important to them, which led to certain decisions, up to the moment where the two come together. Different places, different feelings change, physics are timeless. My work reflects these things and these stories.”
Born in Hamburg, 25-year-old Alexander Otto has already come a long way. Having worked as an illustrator, interactive designer, motion designer and art director, this multi-talented artist is guided by innovation. Now living in New-York, Otto currently works for Agency R/GA as a Senior Visual Designer. He hopes to further improve his skills and move towards interactive movies and short films. His thoughts on the TEN project: “I think that the TEN project is great for learning new things. I wish back then someone had exchanged his Photoshop file with me, so I could understand how one or the other technique works. I’m a huge fan of tutorials.”
