Design Finds: 5 Creative Highlights from the Week

Welcome to the latest edition of Design Finds, where we highlight creative news, happenings and findings from the past week. This week’s selection includes helpful tech news, a geeky paper project, awesome poster designs, and interesting animation design work. Let’s dig in!

1. Poster Designs for Non-Existent Sequels

From Being Jeff Goldblum to Close Encounters 2, this selection of hypothetical sequel posters is more delightful than the thought of the movies actually being made. Check ’em out at io9.

2. Apples Product Book

The latest from Apple is a $299 book. No, not a MacBook. An actual book that features photos of its past products. Yeah, we’re confused too. Read about it here.

3. Dazzle Ship’s Titles for Drone Racing League

Design studio Dazzle Ship designed a broadcast package for the Drone Racing League’s first TV series. Drone racing, in case you were wondering, is a new sport that leverages new tech, insane courses and pro sports media to make it—well, awesome. Check out the show titles and read more here.

4. Star Wars Moments Cut from Paper

I’m a massive Star Wars fan, so these epic paper-cut scenes from the films by the so-called “Paper Dandy” Marc Hagan-Guireyare absolutely mesmerizing. See more here.
