National Dog Day is the second National best Day behind Mother’s Day! Oh, and Father’s Day, of course (see my dog, Coco left). When it comes to branding, capturing a day and making it a National holiday is not a bad idea. In the past, creating a proposal to get the U.S. Congress to vote on a National Day would take years, but with social media and the ability to inspire the masses, sometimes just the act of trying to get your National Day voted on is big enough publicity than actually getting the day.
According to HolidayInsights.com, August is filled with National Holidays:
- Admit You’re Happy Month
- Family Fun Month
- National Catfish Month
- National Eye Exam Month
- National Golf Month
- Peach Month
- Romance Awareness Month
- Water Quality Month
- National Picnic Month
There are hundreds of National Days, Weeks and Months commemorated every year. So, the next time you want to reach out to a unique audience, grab them with a special day created just for them! Everyone loves to be honored.
We have our own special honors in our competitions.
