An Interactive Design Conference Program that Makes Sense
Chances are, like most graphic designers, you’re self-taught when it comes to interactive design—which is why three years ago we created the HOW Interactive Design Conference.
This event is for people like you, graphic designers who do interactive design, and our focus is on just that: design and the design process. We all know creating outstanding user experiences are what we pride ourselves on, and as the mediums evolve so does our need to upgrade our knowledge and skill set.
At this conference we have gathered some of the best web design minds in the market – David Sherwin, Cameron Moll, Chris Butler, Margot Bloomstein – to share their knowledge and help you upgrade your skills.
A Design Conference that Mirrors an Interactive Design Process
Equally as important as the players we’ve invited – we’ve created a program that mirrors an interactive design project.
We start, on Tuesday, with two in-depth workshops that help you understand how to be a more effective web designer and how to convert PSD documents into web pages. These workshops offer breadth and depth of content, so you’ll hit the ground running.
We are then treated to the unstoppable James Victore and his unique inspirational message of reinvention.
On Wednesday and Thursday, we’ve organized the sessions to take you through the web design process in a logical sequence – concept and planning, prototyping, execution, the tracking of user data – and, finally, case studies where the pros walk you through their interactive project processes from start to finish.
By the time you depart on Thursday afternoon you will have the knowledge to be a more effective interactive designer and, frankly, a more valuable asset to your employer and/or your clients.
“The focus is always on the designer. If you want to amp up your skills with training from some of the best minds in the industry, this is the place for you.” –Patrick McNeil, Creator of designmeltdown.com, on how tech and design come together at HOW Interactive Design Conference.
The heart of a design conference may be the instruction and skill development you seek, but here at HOW we also know that a lot of meaningful experiences can happen outside of the traditional program sessions. So we’ve integrated breakfast roundtables, office hours and a portfolio review to give you a well-rounded conference experience with a variety of outlets for growth.
We’re also known for mixing it up a bit, so we’re bringing you opportunities to interface with the experts as well as other interactive designers at happy hour and lunch breaks throughout the conference.
Trying to convince your boss? HOW has you covered. Here you’ll find more than enough reasons why attending this conference will enhance your value—and we’ve outlined the rationale for you.
Most importantly – don’t forget to register for the conference. Secure a seat by October 7th for the discounted rate!
