Did someone hack my profile?

I received an email today from a person responding to a message he claims I posted on the In House Design Forum. I did not post any message to this forum, and can't find any such post anywhere in the forums. Is it possible someone hacked my profile and is posting messages with it? The email I received seems like a legitimate response to a job-offer post. But I'm a freelancer and am certainly not offering jobs to anyone! I am hesitant to respond to the email and explain the issue, in case it is simply a spammer.

PlumDog -- we haven't had reports of a spam situation, but I'll look into it. Our profile on Twitter was hacked recently, so it may be an odd thing that's "going around." Thanks for the heads-up.
