This is a personal project. A series of inspirational posters.
this is the first one.
I'm going for an Americana working class feel.
I came across a bunch of cool old pictures with expired copyrights and have been using some of them.

Student forum rocks!

I honestly don't know why they made this section. I predict that it will turn into a graveyard. Why would students only want advice from other students, and why would a professional want to visit two separate sections in order to critique individuals work, or talk about design in general?

Making a student section just makes the forum unnecessarily more cluttered, like building a house with two kitchens right next to each other. Students don't need their own section. They should openly mingle with the professionals on this site; Not seclude themselves or force the rest of us to actively search for their posts. If you ask a question in the lounge, you will have the best chance for a quality reply. If you ask it here, you are simply hoping that someone with the answer visits this section, which is unlikely; Or at least not as likely as if you asked it where everyone hangs out. Same thing with critiques. Post your work in the regular section for the best chance of it being seen. Or post in both, but again, that seems like a huge waste of time and energy when we could simply have one section for everyone.

Thats my opinion for what it's worth. I'll probably steer clear of this new section entirely.

I mostly agree with you Typo.
I do like talking with other students about their experiences with school and trying to get started in the professional world but I do think it will just be a graveyard. I don't think there enough students on here to make the section very useful. I wanted to give it a shot though in case there are some more students lurking on here.
