Good prices, but remember, this is a very, very limited type of printing they offer--4/4, acqueous coated, standard sizes, on white paper. I don't think the standard printshops will be able to compete with gang run printers for this particular product. My favorite local printer, for example, charges me about 3 or 4 times this price.
But as far as anything beautiful on other colored papers, or if you want a special fold or die cut, or Pantones, one-color, letterhead/paper that can run through a copier, etc.--these guys really don't offer that. Some of the gang run printers offer a couple options like die cuts or spot varnishes, but most of them don't even offer a choice of paper.
So as a printer, I would myself probably farm out the 4/4 type jobs, marking them up to make money, and focus on higher end and specialty print jobs. Also, some designers might feel comfortable ordering off the Internet (because they know the process and they are sure their file is set up correctly), but for business owners, it's a little risky...you don't get proofs, you can't do press checks, etc. Plus for this particular company, they only work with designers because you have to set up an account, fax your business license and do a minimum order each month.
Closet full of shoes...nah, I only have about 20 pairs. I have a closet full of specialty papers and stationery, though.
Redspeir, go to their site and order some samples. I've been very happy with their quality. BTW, I also have a source for very nice matte satin cards and postcards (the kind that are laminated with a lovely dull finish), though I haven't tried them out yet.
