Who's going this year?

Hi all! I am hoping to go this year... trying to get the boss to put it in the budget. I know my manager went to bat for me and tried to get it in the budget, so here's hoping. Not sure when I will find out, but I feel like there is a good chance for me to go this year, and I am excited! I've never been, plus I love Chicago, plus I would love to meet more of you guys!

I'm not anymore. Unless I win a contest that gives away a pass or start playing and win the lotto, it's a no go for me. Work won't help me at all this year. SO bummed! Maybe if I start saving now I can go next year.

I am!! This will be my first HOW conference and I am extremely excited to finally be able to attend.
Any suggestions for a newbie??

I wish someone had saved Kelsey's advice for Newbies from the old forum. That was filled with well-thought, useful advice for 1st time attendees. The only thing I can remember is the rule about newbies buying drinks for Vets (which is why I always adopt 4-5 newbies a year).

Just hang close and follow some vets on Twitter and most of your questions will be answered.

This year looks like I have timing on my side... recent major project successes, followed up with a design conference request = I'm going! Well, as long as I can get the check request processed and submitted before there is an unexpected hiccup in the force ;p

This will be my third...2005/2007...second in Chicago.

FYI, If I am correct, parking at the Conference Hotel is $50 a day...yikes! Anyone have alternative parking options?
