What to bring to a graphic design meeting with a client?

Postby Bruce Willis » April 28th, 2012, 7:10 am

Hi all,

I have done a lot of graphic design work over the past few years but I primarily deal with my clients either over the phone or through the web (email). I have a client that wants to meet in person in NYC to sit down and discuss a few things about working together. Currently, we spoke about designing 2-4 flyers per week. What should I bring to the meeting? This is my first in-person graphic design meeting.

Thanks in advance.
Bruce

Extremely sorry Bruce, I am giving you reply after very long time. But i want to share my first face to face meeting with my one new client. My client wanted a creative and attractive design for his new website. Before meeting I have created a PowerPoint presentation on my works, what types of designs i have created for my previous clients. Also I have created a demo design sample for his website. This approach helped me a lot to impress him. I got that project by that day.
So i would like to suggest you to keep all the design samples in your laptop or whatever gadget you use with you.

Best Of luck for your Future

This post is past due but if someone else has the same question here is my answer:

Use the same Portfollio that you use with online clients but put it in print.
Make a slide show.
Let them keep some samples.
