Hello everyone,
I know everyone is concerned with "how to do local SEO" or get ranked on GEO targeted SERPs. Here are few important points to consider:
- Get back links from websites which are locally hosted (endorsement from local sites)
- Get your own website locally hosted
- Get local keywords on your website
- Domain extension ".co.uk" or ".ca" etc
- GEO target in Google WMTools section
The main reason being that search engines clearly understand where your webserver IP is coming from. This is called serving SERPs targeted to local users. For example, if you go to Google.fr and search for "microsoft" you wil get results in FRENCH and microsoft france. There are more examples. Your job is to get search engines believe that your site is locally targeted.
Submissions to local listing is fine but it would be more worthy if those sites are hosted locally.
Cheers
