When is enough is enough?

Postby k ern » November 26th, 2012, 12:14 pm

Hoping someone can give me some advice here.

I started a new in-house design job last month and so far I'm SOOOOO bored. The work is very dry and I'm not using my skills at all. I work with another designer, who is the design leader, and she does all the work herself. At my last job, it was the other way around. I did everything-the concepting, the designing, the production, shopping around for a printer, etc. There were times when I had between 10 and 15 projects on my plate at once. I have 12 years experience and I feel like a junior. I know I should give it some time, but how long should I give it? Six months? A year? I should be grateful that I have a good, secure job in this economy, I know, but I would rather stick plastic knives in my eyes right now.
