Mistaken Initiation

Postby Blieque » October 23rd, 2012, 6:52 am

Hi all,

I saw your forum while wondering the internet, and thought you might like to see some of my newer pieces. I generally work in Cinema 4D and Photoshop CS5, and decided to model my interpretation of a scene in one of my favourite books. I also recorded the making of it, and posted a time lapse to YouTube (http://youtube.com/watch?v=IxH0GcGSME8) if that's your thing. ;)

In the book, a group of 'villains' mistakenly activate an artificial intelligence which turns rogue on them. By the end, the main character at the time is lying, barely concious, wounded, and just manages to see his very secretive master walk into the room with and EMP unit, killing the AI. Paraphrasing gives it no justice whatsoever, though. :D

Anyway, all criticism, constructive or not, is welcome.

The stairs behind him lead to the outside, a bright snowy scene. I guess the subject room should still cast a shadow though, thanks for noticing. :D

It's ok, but fairly basic. I'd say keep working on it trying to make it a bit more detailed and realistic.

Keep going :)

Thanks for the support! :) Just making this made me realise how much time modelling must take. xD

Exactly, I have so much respect for 3D modellers and artists, their work takes so much time and effort and I dont think people realise just how difficult and time consuming it is
