Sick of my Wacom Bamboo pens breaking, Anyone try Monoprice?

Postby Abstractational » June 3rd, 2012, 8:53 pm

So I have a Wacom Bamboo, had it for a couple years, I only use it once in a blue moon though I have been wanting to use it more often, problem is these pens break from the smallest drop or even by doing nothing sometimes, maybe the more expensive ones are built better but I can't afford that, anyways I went through 3 of these, only dropped one on a soft rug(That broke it), the others just stopped working.

So onto my delima, these pens cost 35 bucks a pop, sorta sick of replacing them, I found these tablets and was wondering how they are compared to Wacom. Not sure how different they both are, one seems to have tactile buttons and the other has a sketch sheet.

and I questioned it because of the size and price point, so I looked it up more but wanted the opinion of people who use them often for lots of work on a design forum, hopefully someone here has used them a bit.

I found a video or two that shocked me and I am unsure if its even real or some odd joke because he says its better then the 500+ dollar Wacoms which seems crazy, I can see it being better then the bamboo but...the more expensive ones? What do you think? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pPI7qFwdNRg
