RE: Buy MAC or PC?

My experience with PCs is not good.

I worked on a mac for seven years before coming to work on a PC at my current job. Before taking this job, I talked to several designers who were like, "Oh don't worry. The only difference between the PC and the mac are the keyboard shortcuts." I thought about it and decided that it wouldn't be a big deal. Boy, was I wrong. I work on a brand new Dell all day and have problems all the time. I've been here for three months and already had IT come and work on it three times. I have a G4 (currently six years old) at home and it blows this Dell out of the water. It's the biggest piece of junk I've ever worked on.

Windows was designed with professionals like accountants, lawyers, etc. in mind. The interface is just horrible (what's with the big, green, honkin' "start" button anyway?). Macs were designed from the ground up for creatives.

Maybe it's Dell that makes bad PCs, I don't know. Then again, my first computer in college was a PC, and I had major problems with it also. I personally would never buy one.

My 2 cents.

A good article - this PC vs. Mac debate is a short lifespan.

I've worked with PCs since the late 1980s and Macs since System 7 and have come to the conclusion that it doesn't really matter which.

Most of the problems *** with PCs are directly caused by the operator.

I (personally) buy PCs because of cost and the fact that some software I need isn't available for the Mac. Adobe software is, for all practical purposes, identical on both platforms, period.

I don't understand this ongoing debate. Buy a computer you can afford from either camp, install Creative Suite and make something.

Well both are good but Mac is much better than PC because Mac have more advanced features than PC and perform high speed with HD games, Mac have much virus security than PC. For further query take Mac OS Support for better Mac Support.

Mac vs PC? They are both equally good but the PC is just cheaper, so I recommend buying a PC :)

Apple is a great company, many people think they've overrated and overcharge for their products. The main product you're paying premium for is their operating system and customer support. The operating system is what makes the Mac run so smoothly and safely. You can see the OS works very well with the right specifications, and worry free in regards to getting a virus. How often do you hear about a Mac user running into a virus issue, rarely.
