Annual Design Review Opens at AIGA

AIGA‘s National Design Center in New York City will host an exhibit of the I.D. Annual Design Review 2010 winners from August 30 through September 10. Since 1954, the I.D. Annual Design Review has recognized the best in product, furniture, graphic and environment design, from the iconic to the obscure—selected by a jury of distinguished design practitioners.

This year the I.D. Annual Design Review introduces the Rado Young Talent Design Award, which grants a $10,000 prize to one student whose work was distinguished by the innovative use of technology and materials.

The exhibition was designed by Manuel Miranda, a graphic designer, and Jiwon Lee, a trained architect. The AIGA gallery is located at 164 Fifth Avenue (between 21st and 22nd Streets).
