ABSTRACT will bring together graphic designers and technology innovators to discuss the changing media landscape and shape the future of digital design for all platforms. The daylong program includes a panel discussion led by Alice Twemlow, chair of the design criticism MFA program at the School of Visual Arts, and including panelists Scott Dadich (Condé Nast executive director of editorial development), Luke Hayman (partner at Pentagram), Gael Towey (chief creative and editorial director at Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia), among others. In a press release about the event, Twemlow commented:
“This conference brings together some of the best creative directors in the United States to reflect on editorial design’s new priorities. There has never been a more interesting time for this discussion, coming as it does in the midst of a media revolution that is changing forever the way we define and interact with content across all media platforms.”
