School of Visual Arts is accepting applications for its summer Masters Workshop in Italy through April 1. The two-week program runs June June 5–19 in Venice and Rome. An international faculty includes Roman archaeologist Dr. Darius Arya, U.S. designers Louise Fili and Steven Heller, and program chair Lita Talarico. The program offers a deep-dive into classical Italian typography with a week in Venice and a week in Rome, with 3-star accommodations. Sounds like a great way to spend 2 weeks in June, so register now.

Neenah Paper has released a new Packaging Solutions swatchbook that includes the mill’s range of ready-made color and finish options, and includes details about custom-made packaging options. The swatchbook features four categories—hangtags, bags, boxes and labels—and more than 180 colors and 30 finishes.

FunctionFox has updated its time-tracking tool with an easier-to-use interface, greater functionality and new color choices. The basic TimeFox Lite package for solopreneurs and freelance creative professionals starts at $20 per month; add more users and more functions with upgraded packages.

LA creative agency 72andSunny has launched an internal training program called 72U that’s designed to teach new ways of thinking, collaborating and problem-solving. The program targets creative thinkers like writers, designers, strategists, technologists, entrepreneurs, publicists, and the like. It’s slated to begin July 20, 2011 and run fulltime for 10 months. Applications are being accepted now through June 1.

SEGD announced the speaker lineup for its 30th annual conference, June 1–4 in Montreal. The international roster of speakers include Andreas Uebele, Ruedi Baur, David Gibson, Garth Walker, Michel Dallaire and Sylvia Harris. View the full program and register at
