• Another calendar must-do: In Source is hosting a best practices seminar, “Practice Makes Perfect” on Friday, May 15 at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, NJ. • Neenah Paper introduced what it calls “an online version of our popular chip charts”, a Color Comparison Chart that helps designers mix and match papers from across the mill’s lines. Also from Neenah, an addition to its line of mobile paper specification tools for BlackBerry users: a Paper Calculator that converts pounds to sheets, GSM to basis weight and other pricing calculations.

Wausau Paper‘s Exact Digital High Definition Smooth line is now certified for printing on HP Indigo equipment. More on Wausau’s digital papers here. In other Wausau news, the company released a new print promotion, “Royal Texture: Add Dimension to Your Life,” that showcases the finishes and embossed paper in its Royal line of writing, text and cover papers.

• Boston-based Korn Design this week received the 2009 James Beard Foundation Award for Outstanding Restaurant Graphics for its branding campaign for The Corner Office Restaurant + Martini Bar in Denver.

• Domtar introduced a new ad campaign for its Cougar line, which features 98 brightness, high opacity and 10% recycled content, and a range of sizes and finishes. More info at MakingPaperFun.com.
