Top design professionals will be meeting to discuss all the details of socially conscious design at the launch event for The Design Activist’s Handbook, a new title from HOW Books, on November 12 from 7-8:30pm. The event will be held at the Housing Works Bookstore Cafe in New York City.
Topics on the line include “how to pursue meaningful projects and still pay the rent” and “what’s the best way to figure out your own professional ethics.” Four design rebels will be talking about how they’re making a difference and a living.
Featured speakers include: Sheri L. Koetting, co-funder and chief strategist of MLSK; Mark Randall, principal and creative director for Worldstudio; Noah Scalin, co-author of The Design Activist’s Handbook and funder of Another Limited Rebellion; and Daniel Schutzsmith, partner with Mark & Phil.
The moderator for the event will be Michelle Taute, co-author of The Design Activist’s Handbook and independent design writer. The talk is free and open to the general public. RSVP online and receive a free copy of the November issue of HOW Magazine when you arrive!
