More than 24 Packaging Design students participated in the competition as part of the college’s fall curriculum. The grand prize went to Jennifer Ahern for her milk packaging design.
When discussing her abstract design of iconic cow images, Ahern said she wanted to appeal to contemporary shoppers. ”I was inspired by the edgy drawings of Picasso and I wanted to design something that the customer would be attracted to,” she says. “Our generation can be careless, but more people are starting to pay attention to the green movement, so sustainability programs like the one Evergreen promotes are very important to the future.”
Samiel Laury was the category winner for Juice.
Carla Yuen was the category winner for Milk Substitute.
Vanessa Magbanna was the category winner for Other.
