Just think about how many Luxe Business Cards, Luxe MiniCards, Luxe Postcards, or Luxe Notecards you could print if you win. You could make it rain with business cards. Or you use them for practical reasons, like networking at next year’s HOW Design Live.

    1) I’ll design the identity for a graphic designer- myself!
    2) Luxe is a perfect design fit because it stays true to classic design. The alignment of type is an important feature in making these successful designs. The glimpses of color are not overused, which makes for a simple, elegant piece designed with class.
    3) I’m in love with the blue turquoise seam!

If I win the MOO Free Printing Contest I will use The Luxe Family to design the identity for URBAN Teens eXploring Technology (URBAN TxT), a technology nonprofit in South Los Angeles that inspires teens to become tech entrepreneurs. At URBAN TxT, teens use coding to learn business development, public speaking, and leadership. Like the unspoken conversation between Luxe user and his or her client, URBAN TxT has an unspoken bond with the teens it serves and the community. It is one based on a lasting relationship built around quality.

Just like Luxe uses innovation and technology to achieve the highest quality product, URBAN TxT uses innovation and technology to develop the highest quality leaders. The URBAN TxT leadership also knows that to reach success, one must must go beyond the first impression, but that to get there the first impression must be a great one.

Luxe is a perfect design for for URBAN TxT because both the line and the organization focus on the experience. Luxe provides the tools for a great social and professional experience between two individuals, while URBAN TxT provides an unmatched, unique experience to the 150+ teens and families it continues to serve.

The blue option is my favorite “seam” color, as it is cool, smooth, and relaxing with a subtle confidence most men and women should strive to have. http://www.urbantxt.org.

    – my design business, k.ray design

Why is Luxe a perfect design fit for your project?
    – it will help me stand out in the crowd and look legit! I would love to create a full stationary set and send it out to current and potential clients. MOO helps me look my best and is always impressive.

What “seam” color do you like the best?
    – I love the red!

1,000 of free printing at MOO would be amazing!

    1) I would design the identity for my new graphic design company, Studio Salt Designs, that I’m launching next month!

    2) I’ve always felt that your business card should represent your handshake, so I’m drawn to the thickness of the Luxe business stationery. I feel that Luxe would make a strong, lasting impression in the minds of clients.

    3) The black is my favorite “seam” color, because it adds a classy, modern element to the stationery, and enhances any printed design.

I will most likely design for my parents. Luxe is a perfect fit because everyone remembers a nice card or elegant notecard. I’ve used the mini cards in the past so I know I’ll be happy with the results which is also a huge selling point. I prefer the black “seam” color because of the sophistication it offers but I might opt for blue for my parents to give the card some pop.

Who will you design the identity for?
The identity will be for myself.

Why is Luxe a perfect design fit for your project?
I am graduating from Berklee College of Music. A thing I noticed is that many people have the same skills as me (who would’ve thought). I need to add my own flavor to go beyond the typical first impression.

What “seam” color do you like the best?
    Black. Looks great.

I will use Luxe to design the identity of the small typography studio I work in (which is based in one of the most pecular and picturesque cities in the world — guess which one).
After all these college years spent making a (pretty cheap) living as a shop boy for an old typographer who runs his studio on his own, I grew fond to the smell of paper. Screw digital! Anyway, I think somehow the more it spreads, the more paper becomes meaningful, like a safe harbor where you can feel for real again. I know, it sounds a bit crazy… But I think nothing can take over the “analog” feel of physical supports.

I think Luxe products perfectly get us, our culture, our way of doing things: I feel it’s still maintaining an artisan soul, maniacally obsessed with the idea of detail being the high seat of Beauty. My boss is an incredibly humble person who worked all his life cherishing his few local clients and endlessly perfecting his art. As I gradually step up in the business, I want to take this exact approach to a higher scale, bring out the pride of doing things this way and start building a greater success on this philosophy, preserving the tradition while confronting the challenges of new technologies, new needs, new styles and creative influences.
I am also kind of a junkie for Moo products, and I’ve always been since first receiving my sample pack…
For all these reasons, I think Luxe could best reflect the core values of our business during the pivotal shift we’re about to face.

I think my favorite seam color is blue, as the predominant color in our logo is similar to that (a bit more petrol-ish really), but I would probably go with a classy, discrete black for our branded stationery.

    1. I would use the $1000 to design materials for my emerging startup business, which is based in the crafts/gift-giving industry.

    2. My final designs for this project will be seen by hundreds of prospective clients, having the highest quality items would help distinguish my business from others out there. The mini cards would be perfect tags for my products, while the note cards could help me promote my business in a unique way at craft and gift fairs. Finally, my business cards would get the “Luxe” treatment, letting others know I’m serious about quality.

While I have used Moo for other design projects, I’ve never been fortunate enough to create an entire campaign with their products, so this would be an exciting first for me and a huge win for my emerging startup.

    3. I would use the blue seam color as it is vibrant and would stand out in any situation.

Who will you design the identity for?
My husband. He is a pastor and a Hospice chaplain and has company stationery, but really needs personal stationery that reflects him for the notes he likes to write.

Why is Luxe a perfect design fit for your project?
Because it is classic, clean and memorable

What “seam” color do you like the best?
That’s tough. They all make a great impression! I think the blue is the most electric. I’d love to see a pink or orange option, maybe even brown!

Hey HOW! Thanks for this great opportunity. I absolutely LOVE Moo. Okay, here goes:

    1. I’ll be designing an identity for my own new studio – it’s a joint project with my husband offering graphic and web design services.

    2. Luxe is perfect because it’s gorgeous, plain and simple. I’ve used Luxe before, and the results were flawless. I always get a great reaction to my card. People stare at it, touch it, turn it over, puzzle over the seam and ask me questions about it. I’ve never had a business card work so hard for me before. Plus, it has a letterpress quality to it without actually being letterpress. High end, tactile and good looking. The seams are a huge bonus – truly original.

    3. I like all of the seam colors (I wish you offered yellow, green, orange, etc!). I would have to say for this project, I would choose the red. It’s a nice, vibrant red that really stands out and will work best with my branding.

    Cheers!

    Jess

  14. sheena

Who will you design the identity for?
Me, Me, Me! I’ve been working on my personal branding and some printing help would be a big help.

Why is Luxe a perfect design fit for your project?
I’m just starting out and Luxe would help me make a great first impression. I received a sample of a Luxe business card and I was impressed. It definitely stood out and felt great.

What “seam” color do you like the best?
I choose the White. It’s classic.
