Today is NATIONAL PANCAKE DAY!
Since launching National Pancake Day eight years ago, the International House of Pancakes (IHOP) has raised over $10 million for local charities and the Children’s Miracle Network. Today, they expect to add $3 million to that total!
This year, the company updated the logo, opting for a “modern and clean look,” says IHOP spokesperson Craig Hoffman.
My eyes, of course, are transfixed on the accompanying three buttermilk pancake short stack dripping with melted butter and maple syrup. “Good photos of our food are our best sales tool,” says Hoffman.
Today only, in honor of National Pancake Day, from 7am to 10pm at over 1500 IHOP’s around the country, that short stack (the company’s most popular item) can be yours free (one per customer). “In return for the free pancakes, guests will be asked to consider leaving a donation,” with 100 percent going to charity.
What a delicious idea!
