Fotolia TEN: Hours from May Download

I love the Fotolia TEN Collection series. Just browse through the designs from international artists and I’ll bet you’ll agree they are non-tradition, eclectic images that inspire that quirky creative side in all of us. Below is their May image created by British artist Mike Harrison:

Harrison’s image is titled “Just a Game.” Here’s what he told Fotolia: I wanted to do something based on a powerful animal, one that would allow me create good energy  and complexity. So, using a bull as my main theme, I wanted to create a high-‐energy illustration loosely based on bullfighting, but adding a playful aspect to it by using certain colors and elements.”

The writer in me can’t stop thinking of other titles for Harrison’s work that would be just as appropriate : “The Design Deadline,” “The Pitch Competition,” or “Brainstorming.” As a designer, I’m sure you’re interested to know how he created this work in Photoshop.   That’s good, because for 24 hours, beginning tomorrow at 10am eastern time, Harrison’s PDS file of the image will be available for download free in A3 format, 75 DPI. After the 24 hours, the PSD can be purchased in A3 format, 300 DPI for $12 “with commercial user rights on the condition that the rights for the use of any Fotolia images used in the file are also purchased.”
