The American Advertising Federation of Central Minnesota is asking for our help in judging their student logo competition. They’ve narrowed the entries down to the five best and now they want to get as many design professionals as possible to weigh in. Visit their Facebook page to cast your vote. Voting closes at 11:59pm Central tonight!
The American Advertising Federation of Central Minnesota boasts one of the largest and most active student segments of any club in the country, despite our small club size relative to AAF chapters in far bigger markets. Right now, we are in the midst of a wrapping up our Student Logo Project. Students from our chapter’s 7 state, technical and private colleges and universities were invited to take-part. Our goal with this project was to give students a real world experience, get involved, ask questions and understand what it’s really like to work with deadlines, specs and with demanding clients. A formal request with project requirements, clearly defined expectations and deliverables was prepared and distributed to the students. They were given specific guidelines, firm deadlines and formal opportunities to ask questions prior to the hand-in date. The winning logo will become the new official logo of AAFCM and used in all of our marketing and communications going forward. The AAFCM Board of Directors reviewed ALL eligible concepts received; chose 5 finalists and the winner will be selected by a vote among AAFCM Facebook fans. The winner will be announced this Thursday at our AdMentor Panel Discussion and Networking event for students.
