It’s with great pleasure to officially announce that a devoted friend to HOW, Megan Patrick, has been promoted to the position of content director for the HOW brand.
Megan began her long tenure at F+W Media as an intern for Writer’s Digest Magazine. She joined the company full-time in 1996 as a member of the Market Books team and joined the HOW team in 1999. During the past 12 years, her love for design and the HOW community has continued to grow. Stepping into the role of HOW content director is a natural progression of a career that has continuously afforded her the opportunity to take on new challenges from creating the HOW blog, to hosting the InHOWse Manager’s Conference to reviving the HOW Books line. “I’m thrilled to accept this new position, and what I realize now is that Bryn has been preparing me (and the whole HOW team) for this very moment since she took the reins of the magazine 12 years ago.”
Bryn Mooth, the long-time editor of HOW, is leaving to embark on a new career as a freelance food writer, but will still be involved with the HOW community, contributing to the blog, the magazine and at the conference. She had this to say about Megan’s promotion “I’ve worked with Megan for my entire tenure as HOW’s leader, and I’m thrilled she’ll be taking over the brand. She has a great feel for the design audience, a great nose for what they’re interested in and a smart sense of where the industry is heading. With Megan and the rest of the HOW team, I know that things are in very capable hands.”
“I couldn’t have said it better myself and look forward to working with Megan in building the HOW business,” says Gary Lynch, publisher and editorial director.
Please join our team in congratulating Megan.
