More to Do in Denver

Seems like we’re always adding new stuff to the trio of HOW design events in Denver this June. I posted recently about additions to the HOW Conference program, including Russell Brown’s hands-on Photoshop CS5 workshop, Lunch with a Speaker, the UnConference room where anyone can book time for a design discussion and Speaker Office Hours.

We’ve also added a special session on Wednesday, June 9, presented by AIGA executive director Ric Grefe. (AIGA and HOW are Partners in Leadership.) Ric will be sharing trends and changes he’s seeing both within the design field and in the business world, and discussing how those evolutions are shaping designers and the work they do. Find more on Ric’s session here.

Also on the lineup of conference extras:

• The Designer’s Marketplace: If you design, produce and sell your own products (T-shirts, papergoods, posters, jewelry, etc.), then you should sign up for a table in the Marketplace. If you love owning well-designed goods, then you should stop by to browse.

• The Portfolio Review: We’re inviting design professionals to review portfolios from students and young designers; if you’re interested in being a reviewer, please e-mail howconference at fwmedia dot com.

• The Design School Expo: Thinking of returning to school for a bachelor’s or master’s degree in design? Know a high-schooler looking for a great university experience? Get info here.

• The Stock Photo Expo: See the latest collections of unique stock imagery for your design work.
