New Degrees

Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) is launching several interesting new academic programs, including M.F.A. in Community Arts (2010); M.P.S. in The Business of Art & Design (May 2011); M.F.A. in Curatorial Practice (fall 2011); M.F.A. in Illustration Practice (fall 2011); M.A. in Social Design (in development, fall 2011); and B.F.A. in Humanistic Studies/Studio Discipline integrated double major (fall 2011). Through these degrees, the College is developing new curricular models to support its increased scope of programs, especially in the areas of civic engagement, research, professional studies, design and liberal arts.  Read more detailed descriptions of the new programs.
