OgoSport’s Design Toys and PlayRefuel Contest

Although comprised of creative professionals, OgoSport does more than design toys and sporting goods—it designs active play. Case in point: the award-winning OGOBILD Kit Pod featured in the November issue of HOW and the popular SuperSports Disk. Founded in 2004, two designers who trained at the Pratt Institute decided to craft toys that were fun for adults and kids and inspired thoughtful, experimental play. Now with a full line of such products, OgoSport is focusing on helping families find fun hangouts this summer.

The company’s Summer PlayRefuel project is designed for families to discover places to eat and play in cities and towns across the U.S.  OgoSport is asking people to participate by sharing favorite playgrounds, parks and outdoor spaces (play) or places to grab a bite with kids (refuel).  Submit your favorite spots via Twitter with the hashtag #playrefuel or on OgoSport’s Facebook page by tagging PlayRefuel. Every suggestion participants submit means a chance to win a $250 OgoSport gift basket in addition to other raffle prizes. The contest begins today and will run through August 31. Winners will be announced in Fall 2013.

You may be a professional, but you are never too old to play with toys. If that sounds like you, check out “Toy Confidential: The Secret Life of Toys” from My Design Shop.
