Nothing says summer quite like a hot dog (or veggie dog) sizzling away on the grill. When enjoying that wiener, however, hearing someone say “you’re wearing your hot dog,” brings to mind different images than Oscar Mayer t-shirts. In fact, you likely wouldn’t want to wear a hot dog t-shirt to begin with. That’s probably because you haven’t seen the t-shirts Boston-based designer Josh LaFayette created for Oscar Mayer‘s Wienermobile Run event.
In the Wienermobile Run, six teams (Hotdoggers) represent six different Wienermobiles and compete against one another during a cross-country journey to rally support for their vehicle. The six mobiles are: #BornToBun, #DriftDog, #Autobuhn, #SpeedyWiener, #Bunderstruct and #HellonBuns. Using the hashtags, participants can rally behind their favorite Wienermobile on Twitter and Instagram, and fan photos earn the Hotdoggers points.
At the end of the competition, fans who pledged support for the winning Wienermobile (which can be done on the Wienermobile Run website) have the opportunity to snag one of LaFayette’s t-shirt designs. The t-shirts will be distributed until supplies run out. Check out all the designs on LaFayette’s website.
