Peeking in Windows

For as long as we can remember, the Workspace column has been one of the most popular sections of HOW. I think it’s because designers love to look at the environments that inspire other creatives. The HOW Conference Studio Tour is kind of like Workspace in real life: You get to walk through these cool spaces, meet the people who work there and see what it’s like in different design firms. If you’re heading to Denver for this year’s conference (and you should be … we’re still offering a deal on registration), be sure to sign up for the tour of Denver area studios. Space always sells out quickly. Go here for a bit more info and photos on the studios, and to sign up.

Here’s who you’ll be visiting:

Ellen Bruss Design
Located in a renovated Benjamin Moore paints warehouse in Denver’s River North neighborhood

Factory Design Labs
In the luxe Cherry Creek area.

A cool, open, industrial space in Five Points.

Foils + Dies/Vintage Pressworks
Check out their pressroom with antique presses dating back to the 1700s and 1800s.

Right on the Platte River, in the heart of a mixed-use complex of galleries, design shops, furniture makers and other creative businesses.

And, of course our friends at Idaho Stew — Stuart and Nicky Alden, who created this year’s HOW Conference poster. (You can reserve your copy in advance right here and now.)
