Planning and hosting the HOW Conference (or, in this year’s case, that plus the In-HOWse Designer Conference and Creative Freelancer Conference, ALL AT THE SAME TIME) is kind of like planning and hosting a party for friends. Just on a larger scale. There’s all the logistics involved: setting the date, planning the menu, ordering the booze, cleaning up the house, choosing decorations. You send out invitations … and then … and then … you wait to see if people will come. You ask people to RSVP by a certain date, and you just cross your fingers that all your fun friends will say, “Count us in!”
As of last Friday’s early registration date, lots (I mean lots) of designers have responded, “Count us in!” A full three months yet to go before our events in Denver, and we’re thrilled already with the turnout.
To quote James Earl Jones in one of my favorite movies: “People will come, Ray. People will most definitely come.”
