With less than 48 hours left to enter your best work in HOW’s Poster and Logo Design Awards, the fate of entries will soon be handed to Ty Mattson, principal of Mattson Creative, and Sunny Bonnell, co-founder and creative director of Motto.
10 Winners in each competition will be selected by the judges and published on HOWdesign.com in a gallery that attracts traffic from around the globe. It’ll be teased to in HOW Magazine, from HOW E-newsletters (reaching 50,000 subscribers), through HOW’s social media channels and featured on HOWDesign.com’s homepage.
Meet the Judges
Ty Mattson (@TyMattson), HOW’s Poster Design Awards’ judge, is the principal of Mattson Creative. Specializing in brand identity development, Ty has created award-winning projects for local and national brands including Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Mattel, Hasbro, ABC, Discovery Channel, Cartoon Network, and Showtime. He’s also collaborated with several recording artists to develop memorable graphics, including Maroon 5, Lenny Kravitz, Sara Bareilles, Barenaked Ladies, Gavin DeGraw and others.
His work has received national recognition and has appeared in numerous design publications such as Communication Arts, Print, HOW, and LogoLounge. Ty studied design at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor. He is a former Jungle Cruise skipper, current bulldog owner, and aspiring world-changer.
Sunny Bonnell (@wearemotto), Logo Design Awards’ judge, is the co-founder and creative director at Motto, a branding firm that works with passionate leaders of purpose-driven companies to help launch, grow and reinvent their brands. Her thought leadership on design and entrepreneurship has landed her in numerous online and print publications. When she’s not solving brand problems at Motto, she’s earning her MFA in graphic design at the Savannah College of Art & Design and inspiring others in the creative field to pursue their passions.
