Project Never

Austin-based design firm Ptarmak is the winner of the new Project Never design competition. As luck would have it, we’re already working on feature about the firm for the November issue of HOW.
Project Never, a design competition sponsored by HB, Pantone, Print, HOW, Communication Arts and Veer recently announced its 2010 winner.  Created for designers, by designers to showcase work that never made it to production, Project Never judges selected “Butcher Shop” as the prime cut in this year’s competition. “Sometimes the best designs never see the light of day,” said Project Never co-creator, Matt Gustavsen. “The competition uniquely recognizes design work and concepts that would otherwise go unnoticed.” The winning butcher shop design from Ptarmak, Inc., a graphic design studio out of Austin, TX, was chosen for its great attention to detail, presentation and strong typography and illustrations.
