If you haven’t heard about the Shutterstock and Facebook collaboration, you’ll want to be in-the-know. The Facebook ad creation tool will soon have Shutterstock directly integrated into it. For any folks that do work in advertising or marketing (for yourself or your company), this will be a great tool. According to Shutterstock, Facebook will begin beta testing the ad platform in the next weeks and it will gradually roll out in the US and then international markets.
Why is this big news? You can now try out images or choose an image from the more than 25 million Shutterstock visuals available through Facebook. You can even use your own photos to create an ad. And, this integration allows you to do all of this across the social media site’s mobile and desktop products.
David Fraga, VP of Corporate Development at Shutterstock explains this collaboration:
As the digital world becomes increasingly visual, businesses need images to stand out and reach new audiences. Not every business has a team of designers to help communicate their message, and so the Shutterstock integration allows Facebook advertisers of all sizes to search and choose from millions of high-quality images at the point of ad creation.
And Shutterstock to explains why this is so exciting for graphic designers like you:
This integration with Facebook, one of the web’s largest influencers, supports a growing recognition that images and creativity are essential for brands to tell compelling stories. Shutterstock is a resource for graphic designers around the world and this is just another way we’re simplifying the creative process for brands and advertisers.
