Letterpress printer Yee-Haw Industries, which recently closed the doors on it Knoxville, TN location, is in the process of moving to California and changing its name to Church of Type. You can support the move, and score some amazing posters, through a Kickstarter campaign, that’s already half-way to its goal.
A recently launched Kickstarter will benefit moving the erstwhile letterpress giant “Yee-Haw Industries,” Knoxville, TN now known as Kevin Bradleyʼs “Church of Type” to Santa Monica, CA. 25% of their $7,500 goal was raised in their first 24 hours after launch to move nearly, 40,000 lbs of letterpress equipment, fine art prints, posters, cards and related inventory. The Kickstarter will end April 7. In April 2013, Church of Type will open its doors at 3215 Pico Blvd, Santa Monica, CA 90405 under the 10 Freeway, across from Trader Joeʼs and down the street from two Los Angeles landmarks, McCabeʼs Guitar Shop and Raeʼs Diner.
