The Pleasure of Correspondence

I found this project totally charming: In April, Lenka Clayton and Michael Crowe mailed handwritten letters out of the blue to all 460-some households in a small Irish town. Some notes were jotted on found paper, others on stationery. They’ve documented it in Mysterious Letters.

Many of the notes expressed lovely sentiments, like an appreciation for “all the things you do that no one noticed” or best wishes for a beautiful day. All were signed, “with love.”
