This Week’s Design News: March 4, 2010

Lordy, lordy. We’re way behind on pretty much everything, including posting a bunch of news items that have come across our desks in the past 2 weeks. Here goes …

Last month, Monotype Imaging released the 24-font ITC Stone Sans II, a collaboration among noted type designer Sumner Stone, Jim Wasco of Monotype and type designer Delve Withrington. This retooling of the original Stone Sans has additional widths and weights, by popular demand. Available from

Wausau Paper released “In Vogue,” a new print promo featuring a collection of objects with timeless appeal to demonstrate its Royal Linen line.

Neenah Paper‘s Ample Sample library now includes a collection of printed pocket folders. The series demonstrates Neenah brands including Oxford, Esse, Classic Crest and Sundance, using techniques like embossing and die-cutting. The company has also added 24lb. Writing and 130lb. Cover weights to its Classic Crest Digital Papers line.

Domtar‘s “Everyday” promo showcases its workhorse Lynx Opaque Ultra brand of paper. The mill also added a 100lb. Text weight to its Lynx Digital lineup.

And in more paper news … CTI Paper has a new digital promo showcasing its range of digital specialty papers, including Aspire Petallics, Currency and Glama natural.
