Web Design Inspiration: The Lovie Awards

If you’re looking some fresh web design inspiration, you should check out The Lovie Awards, Europe’s answer to the Webby’s. Now, in it’s second year The Lovie’s, name after Ada Lovelace,  were created to shine a light on European designers’ contributions to interactive design innovation. You can see the winners from the first Lovie’s here. The deadline for this year’s competition is July 20.

The Lovie Awards

The mission of the Lovie Awards is to recognise the unique and resonant nature of the European internet community – from Europe’s top web and creative networks and content publishers to cultural and political organisations and bedroom bloggers.

Now in its second year, The Lovie Awards continues to celebrate the most resonant and pertinent stories in Europe, those inside and outside of the prevailing trends. The awards reflect the tremendous growth of the internet as a tool for business and everyday lives. This year we are expanding the mission to honour European excellence by adding to the judging academy and increasing the number of categories in Website, Interactive Advertising & Media, Online Film & Video, and Mobile & App.

If you’re not a designer based in Europe, then you should note that the deadline for the HOW Interactive Design Awards is July 30. Entries from around the world are accepted in this competition, which is a companion to the HOW International Design Awards. All winners are printed in our March Design annual.
